On Monday, December 1, 2014 the new County Commissioners will be sworn in at the Historic Courthouse in Pittsboro. There will be just a few items of business, including the presentation of the staff’s first cut at the Capital Improvements Plan for Chatham County.
PLEASE attend the swearing in and reception and talk to each other and your new Commissioners. We know it will be a good time if you come.
One of their campaign promises, was to revitalize committees and actually LISTEN to their advice. We have needs on the Planning Board, Environmental Review Advisory Board, Agriculture Committee, Transportation Committee, and others. If YOU or someone you know has an interest and wants to serve on a committee please let the Commissioners know.
