It's Time to Think Precinct

It’s time to Think Precinct!

Precinct Committee Persons are the most grassroots-level building block of the Democratic Party.  They are an important driving force behind registering voters, getting out the word on candidates, and helping Democrats understand the party’s structure, process, and platform.  They are the people who go out, walk neighborhoods, and connect with and activate voter, talking to independent, unaffiliated, and Democratic voters alike. They are the people who support the party with time, skills and donations.

Many elections are won or lost by a small margin of votes and the votes that make the difference are the result of strong precincts. Be a Precinct leader by attending your precinct organizational meeting; then consider how you can participate in our democratic process to ensure good government from the city to the county to the state and federal level. Your actions taken right where you live could make the difference!

“The most important job I ever held was that of precinct committeeman.” -President Harry Truman
